I like Davina's idea of somehow identifying the GSC as the sponsor of the site, but I'd like to leave it open to all students. We might learn something useful by hearing from undergrads.
The Graduate Student Committee addresses the needs and concerns of graduate students and promotes their professional development and participation in the American Academy of Religion and the academy as a whole.

Yes, Maurice, I do think it should be changed to "Graduate Students of the AAR." It has a snazzier ring to it. What do others think?

Then again, maybe we should leave the non descriptive "students" in the event we invite undergrads to post.
Is there a way to add a subscript or subtitle, something like "A service of the AAR Graduate Student Committee"?

Yes, we can easily add a subtitle. I'll put in Davina's suggested text, but other suggestions are welcome.
Hey, so could we put an "About the AAR GSC" box with our mission statement on the side of the blog's front page?
